Many people are surprised to learn that Corlin Paint is not a corporate owned chain of paint stores. With locations in Chico, Oroville, Paradise, and Chester, we can understand how some people might get that impression. However, nothing could be farther from 'corporate' than Corlin Paint; our family tree has roots in the paint business that trace back 50 years.
My grandfather began manufacturing paint in the Bay Area in 1962, where my father, Rocky Niles, grew up with the business. By 1976, my dad began working the business in Chico, while playing football for CSUC. He's been at it ever since, and opened his first Corlin Paint store in 1989.
People say that Rocky Niles bleeds paint... I guess because there is nothing he couldn't tell you about it. He opened his own paint manufacturing plant in Chico just to make sure he knew everything about his products. Considered the North Valley's "go-to guru" for information, Rocky knows more about paint than Noah knew about the Ark.
So, we have grown with our community over the years. We remain the only family owned and operated paint business competing with the various national chains. Our success has come from making superior products, and sharing the knowledge that comes from years of experience, not a seminar.
We value the many long-term relationships we have built over the years, and invite you to become one of them. I'll even answer the phone in person when you call!
With kind regards from the next generation,
Nichole Niles
